Teens & Adults
One on one sessions are for 30 minutes or one hour, once a week. I want you to get the most out of your lessons so I will assess your natural learning style to find your natural aptitudes and help you develop your unique style while customizing every lesson just for you. Learn to play any song in just a few lessons through the "Chord Approach" method. I can also teach you how to sight read, music theory, piano technique, music composition and how to play by ear. Build confidence in your piano skills by participating in the open mic nights, recitals, competitions and other performances

Performances

Annual Performances

Performing builds confidence, takes great courage and develops character. Students heighten awareness for other performers, the arts and improve communication skills with other students, adults and teachers. Sitting in the audience and observing the other students develops an eagerness to do what they are seeing.  It is the most awesome positive peer pressure there is. Katie hosts 2 recitals each year.  One is the annual Christmas recital and the other is differently themed every year.

Annual Competition

The main benefits of competitions are feedback from experts who don’t know you. You learn how you compare to the general population of musicians in your age or length-of-study category. Students get their picture taken with their ribbon directly after their performance. They gain confidence from positive feedback and high scoring participants receive medals for placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their level.  The overall winner of the competition receives the grand trophy!
